BARS Audit Companies play a critical role in providing high quality and accurate audit outcomes in the Program.
Registered Audit Companies are the only entities permitted to conduct official audits of Aircraft Operators for the purpose of BARS Registration. The Registered Audit Company shall only utilize trained and accredited BARS Auditors in the conduct of the BARS Audit.
Audit Companies are registered by the Flight Safety Foundation BARS Program Office and are subject to ongoing monitoring and evaluation to maintain the BARS Registered Audit Company status.
To become a Registered BARS Audit Company, the organization will have to meet certain minimum criteria and the organization may be required to undergo an on-site evaluation by personnel from the BARS Program Office. The cost of this evaluation will be borne by the audit company and is in addition to the annual fee.
