Safety Forum 2022 | 9th | Brussels

SAVE THE DATE!

THE 9th SAFETY FORUM  |  BRUSSELS, JUNE 30 – JULY 1, 2022

The theme of the 2022 Safety Forum is “Safe Sustainability”.   As COP26, the 2021 U.N. Climate Change Conference, demonstrated, aviation will come under increasing political and commercial pressure to reduce its carbon footprint. In supporting efforts to become more sustainable, we must not lose sight of the potential for unintended consequences for safety and resilience when procedures or technology changes. We want to hear your views on which developments might present risks that would require mitigation, and on how changes could best be managed.

The 9th Safety Forum is scheduled for June 30 – July 1, 2022, at EUROCONTROL headquarters in Brussels. The Forum is organised by the Flight Safety Foundation European Advisory Committee together with EUROCONTROL and the European Regions Airline Association.

The Safety Forum is targeted specifically at front-line professionals and those who train and manage them; this year is no exception. Attendance will again be free to qualifying attendees, subject only to prior registration and to available capacity.

Registration will open after the programme has been finalised (likely in late March); if you received this notification directly by email, you will be contacted again when registration is open. If you did not receive this notification directly but would like to register, details of the event will be published on SKYbrary.aero and will be available on the Flight Safety Foundation website.

We are planning on in-person attendance but recognise that COVID-19 may generate circumstances beyond our control. We therefore recommend that any travel and accommodation arrangements you make are flexible.
